Ask a question based on Prof. Carli's presentation. Focus on asking something you want more information about. (What is Spiritualism? Did they really believe in ghosts?). Make it the kind of questions that other people would be interested in finding out about also.
What is the overall main objective of fairy tales? Is it to widen imagination? Educate? Caution?
ReplyDeleteIf fairy tales are versions of myths explained to children. How were Capuanas fairy tales both for kids and adults? where children allowed to read books also meant for adults?
ReplyDeleteProfessor Carli stated that Capuana did not come up with the plots to his fairytales but instead was guided by hallucination. Would it be safe to say that Capuana did indeed create these stories through some sort of lucid dreaming?
ReplyDeleteGlad I could pose my question directly to your esteemed speaker.
ReplyDeleteDid Capuana ever encountered a ghost/fairy/demon? Or did he believed that these supernatural spirits exist in real life?

DeleteWhat was the reason why Capuana decided to write fairy tales that were gruesome and not ones that were meant for all audiences?
